Nasdaq Gives DeFi Technologies Second Chance to Hit $1 Bid Price
DeFi Technologies has been granted an additional 180-day period by Nasdaq to regain compliance with the exchange's $1 minimum bid price requirement. The Toronto-based financial technology firm, behind the Valour exchange-traded products, had its common shares trade below $1 for 30 consecutive business days.
The initial 180-day window expired on September 1, but DeFi Technologies qualified for a second period because it still meets other listing standards, apart from the minimum bid price rule. The company's shares are listed on Nasdaq under the ticker DEFT and continue to trade as normal, despite the notification.
To regain compliance, the closing bid price of the shares must reach at least $1 for a minimum of ten consecutive trading days within the additional period, which runs into early March 2027. DeFi Technologies will monitor the bid price and evaluate available options to cure the deficiency, but cautions that there can be no assurance it will regain compliance.
