Nasdaq Invests Big in Tokenized Stocks with $100M Payward Deal
Nasdaq Ventures has announced a $100 million investment in Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to support its tokenized-equity program.
The partnership aims to introduce blockchain-based replicas of publicly-traded stocks in the form of Nasdaq Equity Tokens (NETs) by the second quarter of 2027.
Nasdaq's market-surveillance technology will be implemented on Payward's trading venues, covering crypto and tokenized equities and other asset classes.
