Nasdaq-Listed FG Nexus Abandons Ethereum Strategy Amid $41M Loss
FG Nexus, a US-based digital asset treasury company listed on Nasdaq, has decided to exit its Ethereum (ETH) focused treasury strategy after just one year. The company's decision comes after it incurred a loss of $45.207 million from its digital asset operations in the first half of 2026, with $41.167 million attributed to losses on ETH investments.
In September 2025, FG Nexus' ETH holdings peaked at 50,770 ETH, but following the collapse that began in October 2025, the company rapidly reduced its position and completely exited its ETH position by June 30, 2026. The company's decision to exit Ethereum is a significant move, given the asset's peak value during this period.
FG Nexus plans to redirect the capital obtained from the sale of ETH to cash-generating real estate investments. This strategic shift marks a notable departure from the company's previous focus on digital assets.
