Nasdaq Puts BTC Digital on Notice Over Below-$1 Share Price
Nasdaq has notified BTC Digital Ltd. (NASDAQ: BTCT) that its shares are below the $1 bid-price requirement, giving the company a 180-day window to regain compliance or face potential delisting.
The company's shares have been trading below $1 for 30 consecutive business days, violating Nasdaq Rule 5550(a)(2), also known as the minimum bid price or Bid Price Rule. BTC Digital has until February 23, 2027, to meet the requirement and will be deemed compliant if its closing bid price reaches at least $1 for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days within this period.
However, if the company still fails to comply, it may receive an additional 180-day extension if other Nasdaq initial listing standards are met. In this case, BTC Digital has stated that it may seek to cure the deficiency by effecting a reverse stock split during a potential second compliance period.
