National Bank Canada's Crypto ETF Holdings Revealed: Millions in Bitcoin and XRP
Canada's National Bank has disclosed its cryptocurrency ETF holdings in a recent 13F filing with the SEC. The bank holds millions of dollars worth of various Bitcoin and $XRP-based ETFs, including an $XRP ETF from Bitwise.
The largest announced investment by the bank is the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, which it holds 42,321 shares of, valued at approximately $5.31 million. It also holds significant stakes in other Bitcoin ETFs, such as the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund and the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF.
Interestingly, this announcement comes after Grayscale reported significant $XRP sales from its $XRP Trust ETF in the first half of 2026. The total value of Bitwise's five US-based cryptocurrency ETFs is approximately $6.98 million.
