NCB Trains Officers in Darknet and Cryptocurrency Investigation to Combat Cyber-Enabled Drug Trafficking
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is intensifying its focus on combating cyber-enabled drug trafficking by launching a specialized training program on darknet and cryptocurrency investigation.
The agency has started its second five-day training program at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gujarat, bringing together 26 officers from the NCB and State Anti-Narcotics Task Forces (ANTFs).
The training program follows the first one held in June, where 29 officers underwent specialized training in investigating darknet-based drug trafficking and cryptocurrency-linked financial transactions.
Darknet marketplaces and cryptocurrencies are becoming increasingly popular among organized drug syndicates to anonymously buy, sell, and transport narcotic drugs.
