NEAR AI Cloud Bolsters Security with Intel-Backed Attestation Tokens
The NEAR AI Cloud has integrated Intel-signed attestation tokens for secure inference requests. This new feature adds an independent verification layer backed by Intel Trust Authority, making it easier for users to verify the trustworthiness of their computing environment.
In the past, verifying the security of AI workloads in trusted execution environments (TEEs) required manual analysis of raw cryptographic evidence. However, with the introduction of Intel-signed attestation tokens, this process is now automated, providing a standardized trust signal for users.
The new system combines Intel TDX on the CPU side with NVIDIA Confidential Computing on the GPU side, covering both halves of the hardware stack where AI inference actually happens. This integration enables secure and confidential computing for developers and enterprises without requiring them to build proprietary attestation infrastructure from scratch.
NEAR's differentiation lies in combining this capability with blockchain-native properties such as on-chain verification, decentralized orchestration, and token-economic incentives for node operators maintaining secure environments.
