NEAR Seeks Quantum Security Amid Bearish Price Pressure

NEAR Protocol has implemented a NIST-approved post-quantum signature scheme to enhance its security against future quantum threats, becoming one of the first blockchains to do so.

The new technology is designed to protect the network from potential attacks that could compromise sensitive information in the future. Alongside this development, NEAR also introduced dynamic resharding to enable automatic network scaling.

Despite these technological advances, NEAR's price has faced bearish pressure, dropping 13.5% from a recent high and testing a critical $1.80 support level. Traders are watching closely as a buy signal appears on technical charts, but a break below support could lead to further declines.

NEAR's trading volume has also seen a sharp decline of 36%, falling to about $39 million, following a period of sideways price movement and reduced volatility after NEAR. The platform has facilitated over $23 billion in cross-chain transactions across 30+ blockchains through its Intents platform.
