Neon, imToken Join Forces on Stablecoin Payments
Neon, a Japanese fintech company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore-based imToken to explore collaboration on stablecoin payments and wallet infrastructure.
The partnership aims to promote the adoption of stablecoins in Japan's offline retail market, as well as potentially expand their use across Asia.
Neon developed the multi-wallet compatible stablecoin payment service 'Stablecoin Pay' under its StarPay-X gateway concept. The company is now exploring a collaboration with imToken's wallet infrastructure to integrate Stablecoin Pay and enable users to make payments using stablecoins such as USDC, USDT, and JPYC.
This move builds on Neon's previous partnerships, including an MOU signed in August with Bitget Wallet to promote the adoption of Web3 payment solutions. The company has also been working with the Canton Foundation to advance the use of Web3 payments.
