NES Token Trading Resumes After $286M Security Incident
The NES token of Nesa has resumed trading on Binance Alpha and Kraken after being temporarily suspended following an Aug. 24 security incident that exposed $286M worth of tokens.
On Binance Alpha, users who held NES before the cutoff time of Aug. 24 at 14:51 UTC must also have had eligible holdings when trading was halted on Sept. 5 at 04:00 UTC to receive a 1:1 swap for that portion.
Additional NES acquired after the cutoff date is excluded from the 1:1 swap and will be subject to separate refund treatment, with details to be emailed to users within seven business days.
Kraken's approach differs, as it will migrate NES covered by its funding incident to a new Ethereum contract, while BNB-chain funding remains disabled.
