Nexo Meets MiCAR Standards in Europe Through Partnerships with Regulated Firms
Nexo has restructured its operations in the European Economic Area (EEA) to meet the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) standards.
The company partnered with two German firms, Tangany and DLT Finance, which are both regulated by BaFin, Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. These partnerships allow Nexo to offer services that align with European operational standards.
Eleanor Genova, head of communications at Nexo, emphasized that regulatory clarity provides a much-needed benchmark for the industry. 'Clear rules are good for the industry's credibility, and by extension for clients,' she said.
Nexo expects user behavior to shift as the European market consolidates around this regulatory framework, with clients migrating toward platforms that prioritize verified compliance and asset protection.
