Nexo's EEA Compliance Locked Down Through MiCAR-Licensed Partners
Nexo has reaffirmed its European strategy by confirming that it operates across the European Economic Area (EEA) through two German firms with MiCAR licenses. The platform uses Tangany for custody services and DLT Finance for brokerage and trading, ensuring a smooth operation under the continent's new crypto rulebook.
Tangany, a Munich-based custody specialist, holds over €3 billion in assets under custody, serving over 60 institutional clients and more than 700,000 end customers. On the trading side, DLT Finance out of Frankfurt handles brokerage functions with BaFin authorization and MiFID II licensing. It's currently scaling its capabilities under the new regime.
Nexo first signaled its MiCA readiness on June 15, stating that services would remain uninterrupted under German oversight as national frameworks transitioned to a single framework. The latest reaffirmation reinforces the plumbing is in place and functioning.
