NFL Demands Stricter Oversight of Sports Prediction Markets from CFTC
The National Football League (NFL) has submitted comments to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regarding its proposed regulatory framework for sports prediction markets.
The league emphasized that maintaining competitive integrity is its top concern and advocated for enhanced safeguards against market manipulation, participant exploitation, and confidential data misuse.
The NFL also requested more restrictive parameters on contracts involving results that individual participants could directly affect, as well as a clearer classification of acceptable event contracts within the regulatory proposal.
