Nimiq Unveils Second Mini Apps Competition with $17,000 in Prizes
Nimiq has launched its second Mini Apps Competition, offering $17,000 in prizes to developers who build and launch their own applications within the Nimiq Pay platform.
The four-week competition runs until September 18 and follows a debut cycle that attracted 62 Mini App submissions.
Max Burger, Executive Director at Nimiq, described this as an 'App Store moment' for crypto payments, allowing developers to ship extensions to the Nimiq payment experience and put them in front of real users immediately.
The Mini Apps Framework allows builders to focus on their product rather than building separate wallet and payment infrastructure, while removing conditions commonly associated with conventional app distribution such as submission fees, platform commissions, or revenue sharing.
