Nissan's Web3 Membership Service to End in October
Nissan's Web3 membership service, Nissan Passport Beta, is set to end on October 28. A finale project called Kizuna Heartbeat has been launched to commemorate its closure.
The service was announced to be ending on July 14 through the official website of Nissan Passport Beta. The distribution of in-service tokens ended on July 22 at 23:59, and users can only use their existing NFTs until October 21 at 23:59.
Nissan Passport Beta was launched as a proof-of-concept project to explore new relationships and experiences between Nissan and its customers using Web3 technology. The service provided limited edition membership NFTs, a custom-made Web3 wallet, and a Discord community where users could interact with each other and Nissan representatives.
Through the project, users earned tokens by participating in the community and completing missions. These tokens could be exchanged for experiences like car test drives, event participation, and original merchandise.
