NK Hackers Flee $30M in Bitcoin Through Hyperliquid
North Korean hackers have been selling large amounts of Bitcoin on the decentralized derivatives trading platform Hyperliquid, according to blockchain data cited by CoinDesk. Over $30 million worth of Bitcoin has been sold in just three weeks.
The sales were made through wallets linked to North Korean hacking groups, which are believed to be laundering stolen cryptocurrency. The hackers have used various methods to conceal their identities and avoid detection.
Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. (PURR) shares fell 2.20% during pre-market trading on Tuesday, likely due to the negative association with the North Korean hackers.
