NODE ETF Slumps 13.5% in July Amid AI-Infrastructure Selloff
The VanEck Onchain Economy ETF (NODE) suffered a significant drop in July 2026, falling 13.5% amid a broader selloff in AI-infrastructure equities.
This decline came as the tech sector struggled with rising interest rates and investor concerns over stretched valuations, while the underlying crypto market saw gains in bitcoin and ethereum.
The fund's portfolio was particularly exposed to high-beta stocks such as TeraWulf and Riot Platforms, which contributed to its 68.9% annualized volatility in July.
Despite the losses, NODE has retained a cumulative performance lead of over 80 percentage points against bitcoin since its May 2025 inception.
