Nomura's Laser Digital Enters DeFi Fixed Income Market with Keyring Partnership
Laser Digital, a digital assets subsidiary of Japanese investment bank Nomura, is entering the decentralized finance (DeFi) fixed income market through a partnership with Keyring Network. The collaboration aims to provide risk governance for institutional lending markets, with the first batch of markets set to launch on Euler Finance.
The two companies will work together to address four major challenges faced by institutions participating in DeFi lending: licensure, vulnerability risks, governance, and settlement. Their proposed solution combines zero-knowledge licenses, quantitative risk modeling, network insurance, and Keyring's settlement technology.
Euler currently has a total value locked of $36.88 million across 17 chains, with outstanding loans amounting to $55.54 million, according to DefiLlama data.
