North Korea Cracks Down on Crypto-Funded Money Laundering Scheme
North Korea has arrested hackers accused of laundering state funds using cryptocurrency, according to reports.
The alleged hacking group was taken into custody on July 12. An investigation revealed that they had accessed the internal networks of North Korea's Central Bank and Foreign Trade Bank.
According to sources, the stolen funds were converted into cash through intermediaries in China and then exchanged for local currency at border regions.
