North Korea Sued by Bybit for $1.5 Billion Hack
Crypto exchange Bybit has taken action against North Korea in a US federal court over the massive $1.5 billion hack in February 2025.
The Dubai-based exchange attributes the hack to the Lazarus Group, an intelligence agency linked to North Korea, and is seeking to recover funds related to the theft.
The lawsuit comes as part of ongoing U.S. criminal investigations into the operation known as TraderTraitor.
The FBI has attributed the record-breaking attack to North Korea, which saw over 400,000 Ether and staked Ether stolen.
