Norway Sovereign Wealth Fund Hits Record $725M in Indirect Bitcoin Exposure
The Norway sovereign wealth fund's indirect Bitcoin exposure has reached an all-time high of $725 million, according to K33. The fund holds 11,549 BTC, representing a 21.2% increase in the first half of the year and a 60.5% rise over the past year.
The majority of this exposure is through its investment in companies that hold Bitcoin, with Strategy accounting for nearly 86%, or 9,914 BTC, of the total.
This marks the sixth consecutive period where the world's largest sovereign wealth fund has seen its indirect Bitcoin exposure grow. According to K33, Norway's central bank, Norges Bank, manages the Government Pension Fund Global through its investment management division, Norges Bank Investment Management.
