Notional Finance Escrow Contract Hit by Potential Exploit Worth Over $1.7 Million
A possible exploit has been detected in Notional Finance's escrow contract, with approximately $1.7 million in crypto assets potentially drained from the address.
The funds, consisting of about 69,257 DAI and 1,650,824 USDC, were later swapped for about 689.2 ETH before being moved to Tornado Cash to make them harder to trace.
Blockchain security firm PeckShield cited analysis by Specter as the source of their findings, with on-chain transaction records showing the movement of funds from the Notional Finance escrow contract to multiple addresses and eventually consolidating into a single address where they were converted into ETH.
