Nu Global Brings Stablecoin Infrastructure to Cross-Border Transfers
Nu Global, a global payments service used by over 140 million customers, has integrated USDC and EURC stablecoins from Circle. This move enables users to hold and transfer dollar- and euro-denominated balances across more than 35 countries.
The integration aims to simplify cross-border transactions for Nu's vast customer base, which includes individuals in Europe and Latin America. Initially, the service will be available in these regions, with future integrations planned in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States.
Nu Global customers can now earn interest on their USDC balances at a rate of 3.50% APY and EURC balances at 2.20% APY. Additionally, users will have access to a virtual Mastercard for international spending and be able to hold and trade selected cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
