Nvidia-Backed Lambda Secures $35 Billion Cloud Deal with AI Firm Anthropic

Athropic has entered into a massive cloud computing partnership worth $35 billion with Lambda, a cloud services company backed by Nvidia. The deal provides Anthropic with access to a data center facility under construction in Nueces County, Texas.

The facility's construction is being managed by Hut 8, a company that specializes in bitcoin mining and data center development. Nvidia has leased the capacity of the facility for 15 years and will supply the necessary chips for Lambda's operations.

This partnership marks one part of Anthropic's aggressive strategy to scale up its computing infrastructure. The AI company recently committed $45 billion to lease computing power from Nscale's West Virginia operations, as well as a $50 billion commitment with Fluidstack and a $45 billion arrangement with SpaceX.
