Nvidia CEO Labels AI Cybersecurity Scare as Sales Pitch
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is calling out the AI cybersecurity scare as a sales pitch from vendors trying to create demand for their products. Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference in San Francisco, he claimed that security vendors are talking loudly about threats because they're preparing product launches.
Huang argued that it's common for companies to create a problem to generate interest in their solutions, saying 'what better way to create demand than to create a problem?' He also acknowledged that cybersecurity is the next major use case for AI and a strong business opportunity.
However, his comments come as attacks on crypto platforms continue to rise. In the first half of 2026, attacks climbed roughly 50% even as stolen sums shrank, according to SlowMist. Over 100 companies signed an open letter in August warning that AI-enabled attacks would spread within months.
