NVIDIA Equips SpaceXAI with Vera CPU for Next-Gen Agentic AI Expansion
NVIDIA has partnered with SpaceXAI to equip its next-generation agentic AI applications with the NVIDIA Vera CPU. The collaboration is set to scale up the company's infrastructure for Grok and advance into orbital AI computing through its Starmind satellite initiative.
The Vera CPU, designed specifically for AI agents, boasts 88 custom Olympus cores and delivers up to 1.8x faster task completion compared to traditional x86 processors. By reducing idle GPU time and accelerating orchestration-heavy workloads, the Vera CPU aims to boost overall system efficiency.
SpaceXAI plans to deploy its first-generation Starmind satellite, integrating a Vera Rubin NVL72 system optimized for orbital AI operations. This represents one of the first attempts to extend advanced AI computing infrastructure beyond terrestrial data centers into space.
