NVIDIA Unveils Alpamayo 2 Super AI Model for Autonomous Vehicle Development
NVIDIA has unveiled its latest AI model, Alpamayo 2 Super, designed to accelerate autonomous vehicle development. This open-source model combines vision, language, and action capabilities to tackle critical challenges in AV development, including trajectory planning and data labeling.
Alpamayo 2 Super integrates a 32-billion-parameter Cosmos 3 Super Reasoner with a 2-billion-parameter Action Expert module. This architecture allows it to interpret multi-camera video inputs, contextualize scenes through natural language reasoning, and generate future vehicle trajectories.
The model's introduction highlights NVIDIA's push to dominate the Level 4 robotaxi space. Developers can use Alpamayo 2 Super for multiple AV tasks, including evaluating driving decisions, generating reasoning-based labels, and customizing workflows for specific scenarios.
