NYSE Builds Blockchain-Ready Infrastructure for Tokenized Securities
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is exploring ways to integrate blockchain technology into its core infrastructure. According to President Lynn Martin, the exchange is working on an on-chain settlement platform for tokenized securities.
Martin mentioned that NYSE was involved in a July tokenization pilot conducted by DTC. The exchange aims to evaluate the technology's potential use across financial markets, including connections between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi).
