Ocean Earns Independent Assurance for Permissionless Bitcoin Mining

Ocean, the operator of the OCEAN Bitcoin mining pool, has received SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestation reports. The reports were issued by independent examiners and provide assurance that Ocean's operations are transparent and dependable.

The SOC 1 report addresses controls relevant to customers' internal control over financial reporting, while the SOC 2 report focuses on security and availability. These reports build on previous Type 1 attestations and demonstrate Ocean's commitment to transparency and decentralization.

Ocean's Chief Financial Officer, Nick Watkins, stated that these reports give finance teams and auditors another form of evidence they can use to evaluate the controls supporting their operations.
