Oil Prices Retreat as US-Iran Conflict Pauses

Crude oil prices have retreated on Hyperliquid as the US and Iran paused their recent attacks. The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) price dropped to $86.82 from last week's high of $93, while Brent, the global benchmark, fell to $98.

The pause in hostilities is attributed to Trump's decision to provide room for diplomacy and a recognition that a return to combat operations was not effective in pushing Iranians back to the negotiating table.

Trump has made several big threats against Iran but failed to execute them, earning him the nickname 'TACO', which stands for Trump Always Chickens Out. This has led investors to be cautious and not surge oil prices higher during this war.
