Oil Prices Weigh on Risk Appetite as BTC Rebounds Above $64K
Oil prices and long-end yields continue to weigh on risk appetite as Brent crude rose to around $91 per barrel, while the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.73% and the 30-year yield reached 5.31%, its highest level in more than two decades.
The tension between the U.S. and Iran remains high, with negotiations stalled and restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz renewing concerns over energy supply. Energy stocks are outperforming while technology shares are mixed as all three major U.S. equity indices declined.
Bitcoin rebounded above $64,000 and Ethereum returned to around $1,900, showing relative resilience versus equities. Institutional allocation is increasingly tilting toward ETH, with U.S. spot ETH ETFs recording approximately $2.85 billion in net inflows last week, a record high.
