OKJ Temporarily Suspends LSK Trading Amid Market Changes
Japanese cryptocurrency exchange OKJ has temporarily suspended trading and accumulation services for Lisk (LSK), citing changing market conditions. The suspension took effect on September 14 at 15:30, and no date has been set for its resumption. According to the source, the decision was made in response to recent changes in the LSK ecosystem.
Lisk's creator, Max Kordek, announced in August that the Lisk Chain would be terminated by October 31. Additionally, Lisk is transitioning its DAO and has asked users to migrate their assets before the deadline. The project will shift from a blockchain to an Ethereum-based platform, with LSK becoming a loyalty token for new services.
The price of LSK has fluctuated significantly in recent days, with a 24-hour decline of 47.94% to around 55.5 JPY. The exchange cited these changes as factors contributing to the suspension, but did not provide a direct link between the two events.
