OKX Boss Revives 11-Year-Old Allegations Against Binance Founder

The feud between Changpeng Zhao and Star Xu has reignited after CZ published his memoir. Xu accused Zhao of misrepresenting events from his time at OKCoin, a predecessor to OKX. He pointed out that a video shows conflicting contract versions from the period.

Xu called Zhao 'a habitual liar' who 'never changes.' He also accused Zhao of misleading the public about a contract dispute involving early Bitcoin investor Roger Ver. In his book, CZ wrote that Xu had accused him of forging a contract 'out of the blue.'

The dispute escalated when Xu questioned whether Zhao had misrepresented his marital status. Zhao responded with a $1 billion wager that his divorce had been finalized, giving Xu a 24-hour deadline to accept. Xu rejected the bet, citing compliance obligations.
