OKX Restricts Access to Anthropic's Claude for Hong Kong Employees
Crypto exchange OKX has restricted access to Anthropic's AI model Claude for its Hong Kong employees and staff traveling through China after a review found potential issues with regional usage rules.
According to Bloomberg, OKX limited Claude access following the suspension of its corporate account. The account has since been restored.
The exchange cited non-compliance with Anthropic's geographic policy by some Hong Kong-based employees and directed them to use approved AI tools.
OKX spends around $6-$8 million each month on AI providers, resulting in annual expenses of $72-$96 million if costs continue at the current level.
