Olympic Committee Investigates Polish President Amid Crypto Scandal

Share

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Polish Olympic Committee following the arrest of its president, Radosław Pesiewicz.

Pesiewicz was detained on August 27 in Warsaw and has been charged in two cases related to the cryptocurrency company Zondacrypto.

The IOC is in contact with the National Olympic Committee to obtain additional information on the current situation and will continue to closely monitor the subsequent actions.

Pesiewicz has pleaded not guilty and was ordered by the court to remain in custody for three months.

The investigation alleges that Pesiewicz received gifts, including a 40,000-euro watch, from Zondacrypto's head in exchange for assistance in relations with state institutions.
