Ondo Finance Eyes Acquisition of Up to $5 Billion Amid Expansion Plans
Ondo Finance, a company specializing in tokenizing real-world assets, is reportedly considering an acquisition of up to $5 billion. According to CoinDesk, the unnamed sources indicate that Ondo has been evaluating several potential targets across multiple industries, including Wealthtech, which involves digitalizing financial services such as asset management and investment.
Ondo Finance was founded in 2021 by former Goldman Sachs Digital Assets team members. The company tokenizes financial assets like US bonds and stocks, offering them on the blockchain. With a total asset value of over $35 billion, Ondo has become a major player in the RWA (Real-World Asset) space.
Ondo's spokesperson told CoinDesk that they regularly assess market valuations as part of their normal business operations but have not engaged in any discussions with potential acquirers. However, recent announcements suggest otherwise: in October 2025, Ondo completed the acquisition of Oasis Pro, which operates a SEC-registered brokerage and alternative trading system (ATS). The company also announced the launch of its own unsecured perpetual futures platform, Ondo Perps, in July.
Ondo's subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, obtained additional FINRA approval to offer tokenized stocks and funds to US investors in July. Ondo Network, a financial market execution layer, was also unveiled on July 27.
