On Monday, the price of ONDO surged nearly 7% despite the crypto market remaining relatively stagnant. This rally is attributed to more than just improving market sentiment, as investors are increasingly positioning themselves around the growing real-world asset (RWA) narrative.
Ondo Finance continues to establish itself as one of the sector's leading institutional infrastructure providers. The protocol's latest update highlighted the accelerating adoption of tokenized finance, with the number of tokenized asset holders surpassing 1 million and the total value of on-chain tokenized real-world assets reaching approximately $36.6 billion.
The update also pointed to several institutional developments expected to support long-term adoption, including BNY's plans to enable 24/7 Treasury settlement by 2027, tokenized Treasury pilots scheduled to launch later this year, and Samsung Wallet's upcoming stablecoin support.
