Ondo Seeks Green Light for Stock-Based Perpetual Futures in US
Ondo Finance has called on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to allow stock-based perpetual futures in the US market.
The company argues that existing regulatory frameworks in the US are sufficient to support such products, making new rules unnecessary. Ondo believes that the SEC and CFTC can use existing rules to bring related derivatives products into the US market.
Perpetual futures are a type of derivative with no expiration date, unlike standard futures. They are widely used in crypto markets but remain constrained by regulation in the US.
