Ondo's Price Jumps 3.69% Amid Australian Expansion Plans
Ondo (ONDO) experienced a significant price movement of 3.69% over the last 13 hours, driven by positive news and market shifts.
The project's expansion into Australia gained traction with the signing of an MOU with Openmarkets Group, a financial services firm. This partnership aims to bring Ondo's tokenized financial products to eligible investors in Australia, including the tokenization of Australian listed securities and local distribution of Ondo Stocks and tokenized US Treasury offerings.
The new execution network and Ondo Perps narrative also contributed to ONDO's price movement, as it reframes the project from a tokenization issuer into part of a trading stack where its tokenized RWAs can be used as margin and collateral inside derivatives markets.
Market-wide conditions pointed to higher beta retrace, not a coin-specific shock, with the total crypto market cap down about 1% over 24 hours and altcoin market cap off by roughly 1% over the same period. The US Digital Asset Market Clarity Act's passing or consideration has broadly supported crypto but introduced event risk around the upcoming vote.
