Ondo's Tokenization Efforts Fuel 10.6% Price Surge
Ondo (ONDO) has seen a sharp price increase of approximately 10.6% over the last 25 hours, driven by a mix of factors including fresh fundamental news, new product listings, and derivatives speculation.
The RWA narrative surrounding Ondo's tokenization efforts has strengthened due to positive coverage and growth metrics presented at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium by John Hoffman, head of product portfolios. Ondo's tokenized US Treasuries and related products hold about $2 billion in TVL, while its tokenized stocks and ETFs platform reached roughly $1 billion in TVL in just eight months.
A new product listing via Ondo Stocks on MEXC has also contributed to bullish sentiment. MEXC listed 'Moderna (MRNAON)', a tokenized stock issued via Ondo Stocks, on its spot market, expanding access to a new category of tokenized US biotech equity for MEXC's large global user base.
The surge in derivatives flows and aggressive speculation, as described in several X posts, appears to be the most proximate driver of the sharp price move. Analysts have argued that ONDO is 'absolutely mispriced', citing over $3.6 billion of real assets under management across Ondo's tokenized Treasuries and stocks, dominance in tokenized US Treasuries, and institutional relationships with firms like Fidelity and Franklin Templeton.
