Ontology Pauses Mainnet Transactions Amid Potential Security Issue
Ontology's mainnet transactions have been halted as its technical team investigates a potential security concern. The network was paused at 09:09 UTC on August 31, and the project called it a preventive measure.
Ongoing reviews are being conducted by the technical team and validators to examine the issue, which was identified during a daily security check.
A public-node snapshot showed a five-hour and six-minute gap in block production since the chain's last recorded block at 20,770,893. The project has stated that ONT and ONG crypto assets, along with other on-chain assets, remain unaffected at this time.
