OP Mainnet Revolutionizes Ethereum Layer 2 Scaling with Optimistic Rollup Tech

OP Mainnet, previously known as Optimism and Optimistic Ethereum, is an open-source Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain powered by optimistic rollup technology.

It's designed to extend Ethereum's capacity by moving transaction execution to Layer 2 while relying on Ethereum Mainnet for settlement and data availability.
