An Optimism governance vote on August 20 saw a proposal to redirect 546.9 million OP tokens from user airdrops to an enterprise fund pass, with a last-minute 8.5 million OP vote from a Foundation-funded team swinging the result.

The approved proposal will give the Optimism Foundation control over a $49.7 million allocation, which is approximately 12.7% of the total token supply.

Test in Prod, a core development team of the Optimism Collective and recipient of funding from the Collective, cast its vote to support the proposal, citing competitive urgency and the need for a 'war chest' to compete in the enterprise market.
