OpenAI Cuts Off Access to Security Tools for Bitcoin Red Team Researcher
Bitcoin Red Team founder Rob Hamilton has lost access to OpenAI's Trust and Cyber tools, forcing him to switch back to Chinese open-source AI models for his research. This move comes after he began using OpenAI's tools on Saturday to scan the Bitcoin codebase.
According to Hamilton, his access was cut off the very next morning, preventing him from continuing his investigation into critical and high-level vulnerabilities in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
As of Saturday, the group had found 1,288 such vulnerabilities, with their efforts accelerated by the Coldcard hardware wallet hack that resulted in over $100 million in Bitcoin being stolen.
