OpenAI Unveils Ambitious Cybersecurity Plans with Major Partnerships and Grant Funding
OpenAI is making significant strides in cybersecurity, pulling together top experts and announcing major partnerships. The company has been building its Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, which now includes Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Cisco, and Cloudflare among its members.
The goal of this program is to democratize access to advanced AI models for cyber defense, making frontier-grade threat detection and response capabilities available to organizations that might not have the resources to build them from scratch.
OpenAI has also committed $10M in API credits specifically for defensive cybersecurity grants, funding researchers and organizations working to use AI for protection rather than exploitation.
