OpenPayd Unlocks Near-Instant Global Payments with Circle Partnership
Financial infrastructure provider OpenPayd has integrated with Circle Payments Network (CPN), enabling businesses to send and receive fiat currencies through stablecoin-powered settlement. This integration allows businesses to access near-instant global payments without having to build or operate their own blockchain infrastructure.
OpenPayd's existing financial infrastructure will handle the payment flows, while stablecoin infrastructure will handle settlement in the background. This connection reduces operational complexity and enables businesses to combine traditional payment rails with the speed of stablecoin settlement.
Circle's Irfan Ganchi said that OpenPayd's connection to CPN enables near-instant fiat settlement through a single API, while reducing the operational complexity associated with multiple payment technologies. He added that by connecting to CPN, OpenPayd removes the complexity of managing multiple payment technologies.
OpenPayd processes over $280 billion in annual volumes and serves more than 1,200 businesses. The integration expands OpenPayd's universal financial infrastructure, which connects businesses to domestic payment rails, international banking networks, and stablecoin infrastructure through one integration.
