OpenSea Becomes Live Data Backbone for Perplexity's AI Search Engine
OpenSea has partnered with Perplexity Computer to integrate live onchain data into its AI answers. This integration will provide real-time metrics across over 25 blockchain networks, including most-traded tokens and top assets ranked by activity.
The partnership, announced on August 27, 2026, marks a significant step towards making onchain data accessible and actionable for AI agents in real-time. OpenSea's CEO Devin Finzer framed the partnership as a way to ground AI responses in verifiable, cited data.
OpenSea supports over 20 blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana, giving Perplexity's AI a wide lens into onchain activity. The integration addresses a real pain point for participants who would otherwise need to monitor multiple networks independently.
