OpenSea Feeds Live Market Data to Perplexity AI Agent
OpenSea has taken another step towards becoming the 'trade everything' platform it aspires to be, integrating its live onchain market data into Perplexity Computer's AI agent. This integration allows users to access real-time trading activity across more than 25 blockchains within Perplexity, a platform already used for researching and acting on information in crypto markets.
This is not just a cosmetic partnership, it fundamentally changes how someone can ask an AI assistant about what's happening on crypto markets right now. Instead of getting generic or delayed summaries, users can get answers grounded in actual market activity. Perplexity Computer can pull marketplace activity spanning tokens, NFTs, and collectibles across more than 25 chains supported by OpenSea.
This partnership is a natural fit between how crypto markets operate and how AI agents are meant to function, according to Devin Finzer, OpenSea's co-founder and CEO. 'Onchain markets are built for AI agents,' he said. 'Everything is open, live, and verifiable.' Jeff Grimes, Perplexity's Head of Live Events Products, echoed this sentiment, stating that onchain markets move too quickly for static answers.
