OpenSea Revives Solana Support for Select NFT Collections

OpenSea has reinstated support for Solana-based NFTs, providing collectors and creators with another platform to buy, sell, and discover digital collectibles. This move is a return to form for OpenSea, which previously supported Solana in 2022 but discontinued the service in 2023.

The marketplace now allows users to purchase, list, and offer a selected group of established collections on the Solana network. However, not all NFTs are created equal, with some collections offering varying levels of functionality depending on their technical standard.

Buyers need to have the listing's currency available in their Solana wallet, with most listings using SOL and some accepting USDC. Unfortunately, OpenSea's automatic cross-chain purchasing feature is not currently supported for Solana items, although users can purchase Ethereum items with Solana funds.
