Optimism, a leading company in Ethereum-based Layer 2 financial infrastructure, has announced plans to enter the Korean market through partnerships with local financial institutions. According to Kyle Jenkey, chief business officer of Optimism, his team met with around 30 major financial institutions during their visit to Seoul.

The goal is to improve the speed and cost of processing blockchain transactions in Korea, which has significant potential to become a leader in the global cryptocurrency market. This move comes after three previous partnerships were signed with Dunamoo (Upbeat), Toss, and DB Securities.
